Hi there, I'm Melanie. I live in Surbiton with my husband, our 3 ½ year old daughter Marlowe and our 1 year old son, Ottian. Having been through it myself, I completely understand how desperate and exhausted families can feel when their little one is not sleeping - and I’m here to help!

Before having Marlowe I knew very little about baby sleep other than people telling me that the first few weeks would be exhausting. After many months of (sometimes completely!) sleepless nights thanks to silent reflux, we worked with a sleep coach who ultimately completely changed our lives for the better. I realised that having a baby doesn’t need to mean you never having a decent night’s sleep again, and that the whole family - but especially your baby - is much happier when they get the rest they need.

After having Ottian, who was a much better sleeper than his sister but still had his blips, I trained as a Sleep Coach and it’s my absolute passion to help other families who need some help with their little one’s sleep. I am completely non-judgemental, supportive and I’m here ready to find the perfect approach for your baby or toddler.

My approach

It goes without saying that all children, and indeed families, are different. What works for one will not work for another. I will take time to do a comprehensive consultation to get to know you and your little one, and work collaboratively with you to decide on the best approach to suit their age, developmental stage and temperament. 

We'll look at the whole picture - not only how they're sleeping but also your little one's comfort levels, how they eat, their personality and so much more. I'll skilfully unpick what’s going on with them and decide with you how you’d like to change your baby’s sleep and, most importantly, what sort of approach you'd like to use to get there.

Sleep coaching with me absolutely does not mean closing the door on your baby and not opening it until morning - all of the approaches I use offer your baby reassurance and supports them in their journey to better sleep. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach and so have a few different methods for sleep coaching and we’ll work together to find the right one for your little one and you.
